Welcome to Bethany Riverview

Bethany Riverview is a new, highly specialized Complex Dementia Care (CDC) centre purpose built for the unique needs of people living with dementia, as well as long term care. It provides 210 bed with 120 designated for complex dementia care.

Bethany Riverview  is part of Riverview Village, our campus of care that provides a range of care options and services to seniors, allowing them to age in the community as their care needs change. Riverview Village includes affordable independent housing for more than 400 seniors.

    Bethany Riverview is designed with the needs of people with dementia in mind. Every space intentionally considers for the needs of a person with dementia. All of our large private rooms also include spacious ensuites. Rooms are clustered into neighbourhoods and households with kitchens and living areas featuring visual and sensory clues for helping someone with dementia feel safe and comfortable.

    Our Rotary Atrium gives residents a beautiful space, filled with wandering paths, benches and lush greenery. It is a year-round oasis and will be the hub for many activities, programs and gatherings.

    Distinct doors and handles in every room for intuitive wayfinding
    Dutch doors to ensure the privacy, comfort and safety of residents

    Ample room to accommodate a cot for overnight family visits

    In less than 20 years, one in five Albertans will be over the age of 65 and the number of people living with dementia is expected to double. Today, there are 13,000 people living with dementia in Calgary.
